This study showed no significant difference between computer-assisted and conventional total knee arthroplasty in terms of functional outcome, component alignment,or complications.

There is increasing evidence to suggest that computer-assisted surgery (CAS) navigation during total knee arthroplasty (TKA) provides improvements in accurate implant positioning and alignment, with resultant improvements in outcome. However, some practitioners have found no difference in comparison with conventional TKA techniques. Furthermore, there have been concerns about the prolonged surgical and tourniquet time associated with CAS.
