Successful retreatment with alitretinoin in patients with relapsed chronic hand eczema

Bissonnette R, Worm M, Gerlach B et al.
Br J Dermatol 2010;162:420–6.

Treatment of chronic hand eczema (CHE) can be difficult because of problems such as recurrence and identifying environmental factors that cause the disorder. Although alitretinoin has been demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of CHE, it is not known if patients can be treated with the compound again following a relapse. The authors carried out the current study to address this question.
