IL-1RL2 and its ligands contribute to the cytokine network in psoriasis

Blumberg H, Dinh H, Dean C Jr et al.

A number of inflammatory mediators, including cytokines and T cells, are involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. However, there is also evidence that epidermal cells contribute to the development and progression of the disorder. In the current article, the authors investigated the cytokine network in psoriatic skin using genetically modified mice, and found that the interleukin-1 (IL-1) family member IL-1F6 has a role in the disorder.
