Al-Mutairi N, El-khalawany M.
Lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP) is a rare variant of lichen planus; the disorder is characterized by hyperpigmented, dark-brown macules, and there is currently no effective treatment. In this study, the authors aimed to clarify the clinical, epidemiological, and histopathological characteristics of LPP in patients from Kuwait, and found that hepatitis C virus may be associated with development of the disorder.
