Editor’s note: Approximately 10% of brain metastases are secondary to breast cancer. Recently, however, increased central nervous system (CNS) recurrence rates of up to 34% have been noted, particularly in patients treated with trastuzumab. Thus, brain metastasis in breast cancer is an issue requiring concerned attention.
