The educational mission of
Current Medical
Literature – Cardiology is to provide cardiologists and allied healthcare professionals with access to expert
commentary and analysis on topical, clinically relevant, and practical issues
in the field of cardiology.
CML – Cardiology contains in-depth review articles written by international experts
providing insight into specific educational themes with clearly defined
learning objectives. All articles undergo rigorous peer-review prior to being
accepted for publication. Each issue also contains critical reviews of the recently published articles of most importance and relevance written by practicing cardiologists.
Leading
Articles: Our Leading Articles are in-depth reviews commissioned from renowned experts. They are written to provide
insight into specific educational themes identified through collaboration with
the journal's Editorial Board and the CML editorial team. The topics are chosen
in response to advances in the understanding, treatment, and management of
patients, taking into account suggestions and feedback from readers and aiming to
anticipate important issues arising in the field.
Clinical
Reviews: The editors of
CML – Cardiology identify the
articles of most importance and relevance published in the international
literature each quarter. They then prepare concise and critical analyses of
these articles, discussing the research findings and explaining the importance of the
results in a clinical context.
Editorial control is the responsibility of
the Editorial Advisory Board, the Clinical Editors and the Publisher. Before
publication, all material submitted to the journal is subjected to rigorous
review by the Editorial Advisory Board, Clinical Editors, and/or independent
reviewers for suitability of scientific content, scientific accuracy,
scientific quality, and conflict of interest.
