Editor’s note: Nasal polyps are benign growths of waterlogged tissue arising from the lining of the nasal cavity and are common in cystic fibrosis (CF), occurring in up to 40% of patients (Rhinology 2007;20[Suppl.]:1–136). The current first-line treatment for nasal polyps is inhaled nasal steroids. While there is evidence supporting the efficacy of this treatment in non-CF patient populations, comparable evidence in CF patients is lacking.
