Editor’s note: Therapy adjustment for diabetes patients using hemodialysis is often hampered by the lack of a clear association between glycated hemoglobin and actual glucose levels, which often vary widely between dialysis and non-dialysis days. These two articles concern the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in a small group of such patients with type 2 diabetes on a variety of diabetes therapies, including various insulin types (in both studies) as well as oral agents such as sulphonylureas (in the first study only).
