Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the esophagus. It is characterized by a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI)-refractory accumulation of eosinophils in the esophageal epithelium, in combination with a range of esophagus-attributed symptoms including dysphagia, food impaction, chest pain, abdominal pain, and vomiting [1].
