Alemtuzumab treatment of intermediate-1 myelodysplasia patients is associated with sustained improvement in blood counts and cytogenetic remissions

Editor’s note: Immunosuppressive treatment (IST) with cyclosporine and antithymocyte globulin (ATG) has shown efficacy in some cases of myelodysplasia (MDS). ATG in particular is associated with substantial toxicity.
