Multiple sclerosis (MS) is commonly considered to be a condition seen in adulthood. However, we know from the MS literature that many patients can present with their first symptom before the age of 18 years. There has always been debate as to whether pediatric- and adult-onset MS patients differ in terms of relapse rates and clinical progression, with contradictory reports published.
