Editor’s note: Data suggest that the presence of visual hallucinations is highly specific for Lewy body pathology. In this interesting paper, Williams et al. used the Queen Square Visual Hallucination Inventory (QSVHI) to examine 115 patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD), 23 with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), nine with multiple system atrophy (MSA), five with vascular parkinsonism, 19 with unclassified parkinsonism (UP), and 15 with other movement disorders. The findings were compared with those from 14 control subjects with no reported neurological impairments.
