Southern General Hospital, Glasgow, UK.

 Mov Disord 2009;24:826–32.

Editor’s note: In the current article, Grosset and colleagues assessed adherence to therapy in 112 patients with Parkinson’s disease who were drawn from multiple European centers. Currently, the “adherence” data that is available from studies of parkinsonian patients are sparse. In this study, drug adherence was measured for 4 weeks using electronic monitoring bottles that recorded the date and time when the caps were opened. The mean age of the patients was 65 years and the mean disease duration was 7.7 years.
