Editor’s note: This is a very interesting article that highlights the complexities of the neurological diagnosis. Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) are episodes that resemble epileptic seizures but have a psychological origin. Correct diagnosis of PNES is important to ensure correct management and avoidance of harm from the inappropriate use of antiepilepsy drug (AED) therapy.
