Editor’s note: Using data from The Netherlands Cancer Registry for 1989 to 2006, the current authors identified 367 patients with malignant orbital tumors, equivalent to an average age-adjusted incidence of 10.9 per 10 million persons per year. Lymphoma (67%) was the most common etiology, followed by rhabdomyosarcoma (12%), adenocarcinoma (6%), and adenoid cystic carcinoma (5%).
