Editor’s note: In this retrospective, observational, case–control study, the authors examined aspirin, clopidogrel, and warfarin use in a total of 822 patients who underwent vitreoretinal surgery during three time intervals: 1994, 2004, and 2008. Hemorrhage complications were seen on the first day in 93 eyes; 66 had vitreous hemorrhage, 17 hyphema, six choroidal hemorrhage, and four subretinal hemorrhage. A small subgroup of the patients also underwent a scleral buckling procedure.
