This group had previously found that switching antitumor necrosis factor agents in rheumatoid arthritis was more useful when failure of the initial agent was associated with the presence of anti-drug antibodies. Here, they studied patients starting etanercept and reach the same conclusion, suggesting that anti-drug antibody testing may help identify patients who should be switched to another class of drug.
