Updating the Management of Gout

Gout is increasing in prevalence and is associated with frequent co-morbidities; however, it is still often poorly managed. This update reviews the importance of an accurate diagnosis of the condition, as well as the current status of treatment of acute flares and the long-term management of hyperuricemia.
