Posaconazole salvage treatment in paediatric patients: a multicentre survey
Lehrnbecher T, Attarbaschi A, Duerken M et al.
Although a pediatric dosage has not been defined, posaconazole is occasionally used in children. In this multicenter, retrospective survey, the authors reviewed data on 15 pediatric/adolescent patients with invasive fungal infections (IFI) who received posaconazole salvage therapy. From the data, they concluded that posaconazole displays favorable safety and tolerance and may be useful in the management of selected pediatric patients with IFI.
