Five-year surveillance of invasive aspergillosis in a university hospital
Graf K, Khani SM, Ott E, et al.
This study was conducted to determine the incidence of invasive aspergillosis (IA) in a tertiary care university hospital. All patients at the institution were screened over a 5-year period to determine whether they met European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer criteria. Accordingly, 214 cases of IA (56 proven, 25 probable, 133 possible) were identified. Of the proven/probable cases, 54% were deemed to be healthcare-associated and 45.7% had received solid-organ transplantation.
